Tungsten Coil embraced 2008 as the Year of the Coil thanks to winning an Austin Music Award, performing to a packed house at SXSW and the anticipated release of the new CD "Alpha & Omega," in addition to being featured on the cover of INSite Magazine's May issue. They added to this success by making numerous appearances on local Fox TV and a hot new music video combined with an ambitious performance schedule. These accolades proved Tungsten Coil has made a bold statement in a cluttered music metropolis.

They are currently in mid-hiatus while they write their new CD to be released and supported in fall 2009.
